FiiO today announces the FG3, an over-ear gaming headset that uses the company's award-winning Hi-Fi audio engineering expertise to redefine what is possible at the entry level of gaming headsets.
Featuring a unique coaxial dual dynamic driver design, integrated DSP processing, virtual 7.1 surround sound and browser-based audio customisation, the FG3 has been developed to deliver accurate positional audio and clear voice communication across PCs and consoles.

Hi-Fi engineering meets gaming
The FG3 is FiiO's first dedicated gaming headset and has been built around a coaxial driver arrangement comprising a 50 mm dynamic driver and a 16 mm dynamic driver. By radiating sound from a single point source, the design maintains consistent phase and directionality, improving positional accuracy and enabling a wider soundstage.
An electronic two-way crossover assigns low and mid frequencies to the 50 mm driver while the 16 mm driver reproduces high frequencies, extending frequency response from 10 Hz to 40 kHz while improving detail retrieval across the audio spectrum.
Dedicated DSP processing
At the centre of the FG3 is a high-performance dual-core DSP chip, designed to process complex gaming audio with low latency and rapid response. An integrated DAC supports audio up to 192 kHz/24-bit, while the built-in headphone amplifier delivers up to 80 mW of output power.
Together, the DSP, DAC and amplifier reproduce everything from subtle environmental sounds and teammate voices through to large-scale cinematic effects with clarity and precision.
Virtual surround sound
For greater immersion, the FG3 incorporates a specially tuned virtual 7.1 surround sound algorithm. Available in Cinema mode and Action mode, the processing creates a 360-degree soundstage that enhances directional awareness while adding scale and impact to games and films.
Clear communication
The detachable microphone incorporates an Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC) algorithm that reduces background noise, including keyboard and mouse sounds, helping keep team communication clear during online play.
The FG3 also supports hardware-based sidetone monitoring, allowing users to hear their own voice with low latency. Through the web-based FiiO Control interface, sidetone can be enabled or disabled and its level adjusted.
Browser-based EQ
Rather than requiring dedicated software, the FG3 uses the web-based FiiO Control WEB platform for configuration. Users can create and save custom 10-band EQ settings directly to the headset and switch between dedicated listening profiles.
Designed for every platform
The driver-free plug-and-play design supports Windows 7, 8, 10 and 11, smartphones and laptops, while adaptive UAC 1.0 and UAC 2.0 compatibility enables use with PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch 2.
The foldable design makes the headset easy to carry, while breathable woven mesh ear pads, memory foam cushions, a closed-back acoustic design and a stainless steel headband are intended to provide comfort during extended sessions.
Inline controls provide quick access to volume adjustment, microphone mute and audio mode selection without interrupting gameplay.
