FiiO is proud to announce the launch of its next-generation portable CD player: the DM15 R2R. Overview

The DM15 R2R houses five core components: CD servo, USB DAC, R2R module, Bluetooth module and a dedicated MCU (microcontroller unit).

Enhanced Amplification: Compared with its predecessor (DM13), the DM15 R2R delivers a significant boost in output power. Single-ended outputs now deliver 310 mW + 310 mW, while its balanced outputs rise to 1150 mW + 1150 mW, providing enhanced headroom for demanding headphones.
Premium Build: Housed in a refined, lightweight enclosure with a tempered-glass lid to display your CD artwork, the DM15 R2R remains portable while offering a premium tactile feel.

Fully Differential 24-Bit R2R DAC

At the heart of the DM15 R2R lies FiiO’s own custom R2R DAC, a fully differential, four-channel 24-bit resistor-array converter built from 192 precision thin-film resistors (48 per channel), each selected for 0.1% tolerance and ultra-low temperature drift.

This careful engineering is designed to recapture the warm, nuanced character of classic CD playback with the precision and clarity expected of modern hi-fi systems.

Extra features: USB DAC, Bluetooth and CD Ripping

Hi-Res USB DAC: Supports PCM up to 384 kHz / 32-bit and native DSD256.
Bluetooth Transmitter: Powered by a Qualcomm QCC3095 chip, the DM15 R2R supports aptX, aptX Adaptive, aptX HD and SBC and can send audio over Bluetooth from both CD and USB inputs.
Sound Customisation: Includes three BASS modes and eight built-in EQ presets; combine them for up to 24 dynamic sound profiles, including a specially tuned “RETRO” preset for a rich, classic analog flavour.
CD Ripping: While listening to a disc, users can rip tracks in WAV format to PC or MAC.
User-Friendly Controls: A clear display, mechanical buttons, a traditional volume knob, and even a remote - whether you’re on the go or relaxing at home, the DM15 R2R makes everything easy.

Fully Portable

Featuring a high-voltage lithium battery (4700 mAh), the DM15 R2R delivers around 7 hours of continuous playback. The ESP allows smooth playback on the go, while Desktop Mode uses external power rather than the internal battery.

Finish Options & Availability

The DM15 R2R will be offered in four distinct finishes: Silver, Red, Black, and White. At launch, only Silver and Red are available. Black and white finishes are released in late December.

Worldwide availability begins immediately. Pricing is set at £249.99, $249, €269.
