John Bauer hotel in Jönköping, Sweden to feature speaker from Audio Pro, designed by artist Andreas Wargenbrant
Renowned artist John Bauer has been the inspiration of the interior design of the John Bauer hotel in Jönköping, Sweden. As works of art are a significant part of the design, the hotel have chosen to feature the limited-edition speaker from Audio Pro that has been designed by artist Andreas Wargenbrant.
In Jönköping, Sweden, local artist John Bauer has left his mark on the hotel named after him. In addition to being able to enjoy this artist's work, the hotel has also chosen to display works from other famous artists for the visitors. Andreas Wargenbrant has contributed to this with his specially designed speaker from the Swedish speaker manufacturer Audio Pro.
"We carried out a renovation last year, and in this process we invested in producing so called studio rooms with a focus on the aesthetic and conceptual, with well-selected materials. In each studio room you will find artworks from John Bauer, but also from other artists, and in this context we think that the loudspeaker designed by Andreas Wargenbrant from the Audio Pro range fits in well. We wanted a high-quality product that would meet our requirements. It is important to be able to offer our customers a speaker that delivers beyond expectations. So to sum it up; it was partly an aesthetic choice, as we wanted to include Wargenbrant's design, but also a focus on high quality sound that made us choose the speaker from Audio Pro." — Theodor Schönborg Fingal, Co-owner at John Bauer hotel
"We think the hotel's concept with a strong focus on art in general and John Bauer’s art in particular is very exciting. This undeniably elevates their design and decor. The fact that our collaboration with Andreas Wargenbrant, which resulted in the limited edition of our speaker T3+, becoming one of the components of their design, is certainly extra pleasing for us." — Jens Henriksen, CCO at Audio Pro
What an artist like John Bauer who painted fairy tale motifs in the early 20th century would think of Andreas Wargenbrant's more contemporary motifs, no one knows. But Wargenbrant's choice of color on the speaker would probably fit very well into the gloomy fairytale world that John Bauer has become famous for. And thus also in the sober decor that the hotel has adopted. The artists are almost a hundred years apart, but there is evidently no lack of creative talent neither then nor now.
