Shanling today announces the M0 Pura, the fourth generation of its ultra-compact portable music player. Combining upgraded audio hardware with a refined touchscreen interface and extensive wired and wireless playback options, the M0 Pura has been designed to deliver genuine Hi-Res performance in a player weighing just 35.8g. The 650mAh battery delivers up to 9 hours of continuous playback from a single charge, making it an ideal travel companion.
The M0 Pura features dual Cirrus Logic CS43131 DACs, supporting PCM playback up to 32-bit/384kHz and native DSD128. The new design delivers improved audio performance while providing up to 250mW of output power into 32 ohms when used with Shanling's optional 3.5mm to 4.4mm balanced adapter.
A 1.54-inch colour touchscreen provides intuitive control over music playback, while Shanling's in-house MTouch operating system has been developed specifically for fast, hassle-free navigation through albums, playlists and settings. Powered by the Ingenic X1000 platform, the player balances audiophile performance with efficient power management.
Despite its compact dimensions, the M0 Pura offers a wide range of playback options. Two-way Bluetooth allows the M0 Pura to function as both a wireless music source for headphones and speakers, and as a Bluetooth receiver, enabling it to operate as a compact Bluetooth DAC and headphone amplifier for a connected smartphone, console or laptop. USB-C connectivity also enables USB DAC functionality and allows the M0 Pura to act as a bit-perfect digital transport for external USB DACs.
Music storage is handled via a microSD card slot supporting capacities of up to 2TB, while compatibility with formats including FLAC, ALAC, WAV, AIFF, APE, MP3, AAC, OGG and DSD ensures support for all of your music library, from CD and vinyl rips to your old iTunes downloads and the latest studio-quality digital downloads.
Additional features include adjustable playback speeds for podcasts and spoken-word content, A-B repeat, SyncLink remote control via the Eddict Player app for Android and iOS, sound customisation settings and user-selectable screensavers.
The Shanling M0 Pura is supplied with a USB-C to USB-C cable and two screen protectors. Optional accessories include a leather case, clip case and a 3.5mm to 4.4mm balanced adapter.
