The return of Jamo, a legendary loudspeaker brand
The legendary speaker brand Jamo is set to reveal an extensive new range of products under new ownership and will see Danish development once again....

The renowned Danish audio brand Jamo is entering an exciting new chapter, marking a significant return to the global stage with renewed focus on design, craftsmanship and the people behind the brand.
With a new team and a clear vision for the future, Jamo is preparing to reintroduce itself to the international audio community and to a new generation of listeners.
Now under the ownership of Cinemaster and Rayleigh Lab, the brand begins its next phase with leadership that understands both its heritage, design and its potential.
Cinemaster’s CEO, Xiaodong Yang, previously worked closely within the Jamo brand and brings a deep understanding of its history, values and design philosophy. His experience with the company provides a unique perspective on what made Jamo successful.
"Jamo is a legendary brand for good reason - great sound and clever design never get old and we have set up development to create speakers which meet all needs of the modern listener from entry level speakers to high-end systems. Production will be handled in both Denmark and China and we can't wait to show you more very soon" says Xiaodong Yang, CEO, Cinemaster.

Cinemaster, the largest audio distribution company in China, was founded by Mr. Xiaodong Yang. Rayleigh Lab is an innovative leader in audio R&D and manufacturing, headquartered in Shenzhen, China, and led by its founder and CEO, Mr. Thomas Li.
The revival of Jamo represents more than the return of a well-known brand. It is an opportunity to reconnect with the qualities that originally defined Jamo while shaping a new future for the company. With a clear respect for the brand’s past and an ambition to bring its design-led philosophy to a new generation of listeners, the new ownership sees Jamo as uniquely positioned to combine heritage and innovation.
The first glimpse of this new era will be presented at the Vienna High End Show, where the brand will unveil its first new creations since its relaunch.
Founded in Denmark in 1968, Jamo quickly became known for its ability to combine distinctive Scandinavian aesthetics with high-performance sound. The brand was created with the ambition of delivering loudspeakers that offered both exceptional acoustic quality and a design that felt truly at home in modern interiors. Over the decades, Jamo established itself as one of Europe’s most recognised loudspeaker brands, admired for products that balance innovation with simplicity and elegance.
Today, the renewed Jamo team is returning to those core values. The brand’s revival places its heritage at the centre of its philosophy while embracing contemporary materials, technologies and creative talent from across Europe.
Nordic roots
Central to Jamo’s return is a renewed emphasis on its Nordic roots. The brand’s design and engineering approach draws inspiration from the landscapes, materials and cultural traditions of Scandinavia.
This philosophy celebrates a distinctly Nordic story: one that combines craftsmanship, natural materials and precision engineering. From the earliest design concepts to the final acoustic tuning, the process reflects a balance between heritage and modernity, ensuring that the spirit of Jamo’s past continues to inform its future into 2026 and beyond.
Big ideas and new designs
The rebirth of Jamo is being led by a experienced international design and engineering team. Bringing together expertise from leading creative studios and renowned audio companies, the team shares a common ambition: to re-establish Jamo as a brand where design, technology and emotion meet.

Among those guiding the brand’s creative direction are Kim Michel, Founder at KimMichel Design, whose experience spans industrial design and Scandinavian product development. He is joined by Simon Matthews, Creative Director at UK design consultancy Studio ISO, whose background includes work with some of the most respected names in high-fidelity audio (Focal, Bowers & Wilkins, Naim Audio) and Jamie Cobb, founder of Studio ISO and a designer recognised for his work across consumer technology and communications.
In Denmark, award-winning design agency HarritSorensen has also created new Jamo designs. Founded in 1991 by partners Thomas Harrit and Nicolai Sørensen, HarritSorensen ensures that Danish design is at the core of the new models.

Together, the wider teams have spent extensive time exploring new concepts, materials and acoustic approaches, working collaboratively to reinterpret Jamo’s distinctive design language. The process has focused on achieving a balance between legacy and innovation, honouring the brand’s heritage while creating designs that feel relevant for modern living spaces.

Inspired by nature
A defining aspect of the new Jamo philosophy is the integration of natural inspiration and responsible material choices. Scandinavian design has always emphasised simplicity, functionality and a close relationship with nature, and this approach continues to guide the brand’s development.
The team has explored new materials and acoustic solutions that combine technical performance with environmental awareness. By drawing inspiration from traditional Nordic materials and craftsmanship, Jamo’s designers are creating products that feel authentic, refined and durable.
Sound for modern living
As music listening continues to evolve, Jamo is embracing a broader vision of how sound integrates into everyday life. The renewed brand will launch a wide spectrum of listening experiences, from traditional high-fidelity systems to modern connected solutions and lifestyle products designed to fit naturally into contemporary homes.
Across these different listening environments, the guiding principle remains consistent: sound should be immersive, balanced and emotionally engaging while maintaining the style and simplicity associated with Scandinavian design.
