DALI introduces a new way to listen with VEGA, a hi-fi quality all-in-one audio system

DALI announce the launch of VEGA, a state-of-the-art wireless sound system that redefines what is possible from a from a single-box wireless sound system.

Created for modern living and designed to meet the needs of today’s design conscious music listener, VEGA delivers extraordinary DALI sound based on 43 years of award-winning speaker design.

DALI Head of Product Management Krestian Pedersen says "As listening habits evolve, more people are enjoying music than ever before thanks to unlimited access to high-quality audio. Music is becoming an integral part of people’s lives, and the key to it all is convenience. It has to be easy, but without compromising on quality. Our goal with VEGA was to create a product that fits the way people live and access music in their daily lives. We wanted to make a product that people want to keep turned on all the time."

VEGA has been developed with the needs of design-conscious music listeners in mind and offers a premium design that combines DALI high-end audio performance with classic design. It is an audio system built for those who want the best possible sound without the complexity of a hi-fi system. During the five years of VEGA research and development, DALI also conducted market research that confirmed that the demand for a quality sound system was matched by the need for a single box system which could be used in a variety of living spaces.

A technology breakthrough for audio

Every aspect of VEGA has been developed by DALI’s engineers, from its drive units to its amplification and advanced DSP control. VEGA features ten in-house developed drivers, including ultra-light 25mm soft dome tweeters which use low-viscosity ferro-fluid and a large ​ rearchamber to reduce resonant frequencies. Bass midrange drivers are arranged in a back- to-back configuration. This design reduces cabinet resonance while delivering room-filling sound with clarity and detail.

With 400 watt amplification delivered across eight 50 watt channels and carefully optimised acoustic components, VEGA produces a dynamic and natural listening experience. Paper and wood fibre cones, low loss surrounds and passive bass radiators work together to create a balanced sound with best in class low frequency performance.

Central to the VEGA experience is DALI Adaptive Stereo Enhancement (ASE), a proprietary in-house developed technology (patent pending) that creates a wide, expansive soundstage from a single speaker. The system adapts in real time to the incoming signal, delivering a panoramic effect that fills the room without introducing unnatural artefacts.

Exclusive placement options

VEGA has been engineered for versatility, ensuring superior performance wherever it is placed. Whether free standing or wall mounted in portrait or landscape orientation, the speaker automatically adjusts its output through Adaptive Orientation Adjustment (AOA). This intelligent system optimises stereo mapping and spatial accuracy in real time.

Further flexibility is provided through configurable placement settings, allowing users to tailor the sound depending on proximity to walls or corners. This ensures consistent performance across a wide range of living environments, from open spaces to more compact interiors. From lounge to kitchen, bedroom to dining room, the placement possibilities for VEGA are designed to create your perfect listening space.

Intuitive control

VEGA integrates the popular BluOS streaming and multiroom audio system, enabling high resolution wireless playback across the home. Users can stream music, playlists and internet radio from their preferred services, while also connecting to other BluOS enabled devices for a fully integrated listening experience.

In addition to wireless streaming, VEGA supports a comprehensive range of wired and wireless inputs, including HDMI, analogue and optical digital connections plus USB audio and Bluetooth. This ensures compatibility with all sources, from TVs to turntables. Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect and Apple Airplay 2 complete the comprehensive feature set.

Five preset buttons provide instant access to your favourite content, with additional presets available through the BluOS app. A refined user interface, including an intelligent OLED display that rotates with orientation, ensures easy control.

A modern design classic

Real wood veneer finishes, anodised aluminium details and custom woven fabrics create a refined, contemporary look that complements any interior.

The tactile volume wheel offers a smooth, weighted feel through a high precision mechanical design. The wheel is a combination of glass, acrylic and anodised aluminium and uses an aerospace grade ball-bearing mechanism to create a highly tactile feel.

VEGA will be available in Dark Oak and Natural Oak finishes.
