The new BTR13 from FiiO offers an affordable portable solution to improving your listening experience. Featuring a dedicated three-position toggle switch, you are able to conveniently switch between the PC/BT/PHONE modes — allowing the BTR13 to work as an external USB Computer Sound Card for headphones, Bluetooth Audio Decoder, and Audio Dongle DAC.

Versatile and compact, the BTR13 can be connected to a PC/Mac for use as a USB DAC and headphone amp — when in this mode, the BTR13 is powered completely by the computer. When used as a Bluetooth Decoder Headphone Amplifier, the BTR13 is powered by its internal rechargeable battery. Connect the BTR13 to a phone via the supplied USB Type-C cable for use as a Portable Headphone Dongle DAC, and the BTR13 is again powered by its internal battery.

The FiiO BTR13 features dual Cirrus Logic CS43131 fully-balanced DACs and is able to output up to 220mW. Together with the option of either 3.5mm single-ended or 4.4mm headphone outputs, the BTR13 is suitable for a host of different wired headphones — from In-ear Monitors (IEMs) like FiiO's recently announced FH19, through to over-ear headphones such as the new FT1 and award-winning FT5.

The BTR13 utilises the Qualcomm QCC5125 Bluetooth chip and supports Bluetooth codecs including aptX HD and LDAC, allowing it to support high-resolution audio transmission up to 96kHz in both Bluetooth and USB DAC modes — ensuring high-fidelity music across various devices.

Thanks to the BTR13 supporting a UAC1.0 plug-and-play driver-less mode, it is also perfect for use with listening to audio from the PS5, Nintendo Switch and other devices.

The 3.5mm headphone output on the BTR13 fully supports the CTIA (Cellular Telecommunications Industry Association) standard of in-line controls. You are able to use the microphone on your headphones with the BTR13, and utilise Play/Pause/Volume using the controls on your headphone cable.

As with other FiiO products, such as the K19 Desktop Headphone DAC, the BTR13 supports a 10-band Parametric Equaliser (PEQ). This PEQ is able to be used in all three of the BTR13's operating modes, allowing you to independently adjust the tuning style more in line with your personal preferences, or use FiiO’s preset sound effects and headphone curves. The 10-band PEQ can be adjusted using either the FiiO Control app for phones, or via a web-portal accessible from FiiO's website.

The BTR13 10-band PEQ adjustment can be accessed via the FiiO Control app or web-based portal.

Available in either Black or Blue, weighing just 28.6g, with a full-colour 0.96" screen, built-in omnidirectional microphone for Bluetooth voice calls, and built-in belt-clip, the FiiO BTR13 is an affordable solution for a host of different listening scenario.

The FiiO BTR13 is available from September, priced £64 / $64 / €64.
